Impulse decision: I’m going to do the 30 days of thanksgiving. Never mind it is only 16 days until Thanksgiving. You are just going to get a brief list of 14 things right now, in the order that I think of them (i.e. don’t attach any significance to the numbering)

1. Jesus - Yea, for those of you who don’t know me IRL, I’m pretty into this guy. He has done what no one else can do for me. He pulled me out of the worst year of my life awhile ago, loves me unconditionally even though I am seriously flawed, and this is on top of his sacrifice on the cross. 
2. My family - I have extraordinarily supportive parents that I often take for granted. I have an awesome sister with whom I have that “sister relationship”. 
3. My body - I have no consistent health issues and it puts up with all of the crap that I do to it. This in combination, is an ongoing miracle. I won’t lie, and aside from a few minor things, I am quite content with my appearance regardless of where it falls on the socially acceptable scale.
4. Friends - There are several people in this category (crazy, right?). In general, how ridiculous is it to find people who have no biological reason to love you but still choose to on a regular basis? Cray.
5. Outback Steakhouse - Your bread is delicious and in combination with the chicken wings, I could be set for life.
6. The internet - Let’s be real. It is really great. Thanks Al Gore.
7. Tumblr followers - Some of you are IRL friends but for those that randomly follow me for one reason or another, thanks. The fact that I am anonymously monitored by people who I have never met is strangely comforting.
8. My hands - I like to think they are nicely proportioned. Also, I can crack multiple knuckles at once, which I think sounds really intimidating, and this makes me giggle.
9. Joshua Schwartz - For not only giving me the O.C. and Hart of Dixie, but the precious gift that is Chuck.
10. Justin Vernon - Can’t believe it took me this long to come up with this one. Changed my life in multiple ways. Glad to be here than where I might have been.
11. Stir fry - This one place on campus has literally saved my life these past 4 years. My health would be obliterated if this place didn’t provide fresh vegetable + ok-meat stir frys Monday-Friday. Honestly, I might have been hospitalized at some point if this place didn’t exist.
12. Camp - This place for the past 3 summers has shaped and defined me in so many ways. I would not have flown to the UK on my own. I would not have friends I can count on all over the world. I would not have known that teaching & middle schoolers are my passion. I would be without two of my most favorite people. Also I would be in a significantly less stable financial situation.
13. I am very thankful that Starbucks sells hot chocolate so that way I can still enjoy the social experience that is Starbucks.
14. The Hirshhorn - I semi-arbitrarily decided one day that the Hirshhorn was awesome. Since then I have come to have a sincere and abiding adoration for this place. Not only does its reverence stir my soul, but its ingenuity and creativity is preposterously delightful.
